EXPLICACION

El Present Continuous se usa para acciones que están ocurriendo ahora mismo, acciones temporales y planes futuros ya organizados.
Su estructura es: sujeto + am/is/are + verbo con -ing.

sujeto + am/is/are + verbo con -ing.

I am living in Madrid for a few months.

We are meeting my cousins tomorrow.

She is reading a book right now

 Affirmative sentences

Structure:
Subject + am / is / are + verb + -ing

They are watching TV.

I am studying English.

He is playing football.

 Negative sentences

Structure:

 Subject + am / is / are + not + verb + -ing

  • I am not working now.
  • He is not (isn’t) watching TV.

They are not (aren’t) sleeping.

Interrogative sentences

Structure: Ubicamos el sujeto primero, como suele ocurrir en oraciones interrogativas.


Am / Is / Are + subject + verb + -ing ?

  • Am I speaking too fast?
  • Is he playing football?
  • Are they working today?

Podemos responder a estas preguntas de la siguiente manera:

  • Yes, he is. / No, he isn’t.

Yes, they are. / No, they aren’t.
