Affirmative
Verbo en infinitivo sin “to”.
Negative
Don’t + verbo.

Affirmative: Open the window. (Abre la ventana.)
Affirmative: Sit down, please. (Siéntate, por favor.)
Negative: Don’t run! (¡No corras!)
Negative: Don’t be late. (No llegues tarde.)

TIP: El verbo modal “MUST” y su versión en negativo, “MUSTN’T”, son verbos que aprenderemos más adelante. Sin embargo, cumplen la misma función que las oraciones en imperativo: dar a conocer una obligación o prohibición, pedido o recomendación fuerte. Suele sonar menos brusco, más formal que el imperativo. Por ejemplo, en lugar de “turn off your phone”, podemos decir → “you must turn off your phone”.
