Why, you ask, did she want to be a koala that day? She never said. During the lesson, lets call this student Megan who is about 10 years old, started to climb and grab onto my legs.
So, what’s a teacher to do?
Option one: Gentle redirection. Explain the awesomeness of «learning koalas» (her classmates) who can listen and absorb knowledge while remaining earthbound. This shows her that she can be a koala without disrupting the class.
Option two: Embrace the chaos! Turn into a tree they can «climb» while you teach. Be warned, this option might involve some goofy voices and exaggerated movements. But hey, a little silliness is the best way to get a point across.
The point is, flexibility is key. Kids are creative little creatures. If you like this type of content, make sure to keep up to date with my posts and reels!
